After all, can’t you harvest clams at all because it’s free? This time, I actually went to Chiba Port Park and investigated whether clams can really be harvested.

The venue was crowded from the morning!
Since this day is the first day of Golden Week, the venue is crowded from the morning. Some of them were carrying clams back and forth to the tent. This is a feeling that a lot of clams will be harvested!
It’s nice to be able to enjoy the extraordinary tide hunting while listening to the sound of the ship~. There are also rays and fish that are left behind when the tide goes out, and children are very excited.
Well. I immediately dug in the sand, but the clams had already been harvested in places where there were many people. But there are a lot of clams in your bucket…! Maybe you can get it if you change the location?
It’s not just clams that can be harvested!
There were a few people who went into the sea to collect them, so when I asked them, they told me that they could also harvest Chiba’s specialty “Hombinos shellfish” and yerba mate!! I thought it was a place where you could hardly get it, so I was surprised that you could catch such a big fish.
Hombinos shellfish are such shellfish!
Also known as “large clams” and “white clams”, they have a strong taste and are more elastic than clams! It’s delicious whether it’s baked or steamed~! Everyone was soaked in water up to their waists.
It seems that it is easy to find if you dig it with a shovel!
Yerba mate is such a shellfish!
The scent of the seashore is strong, and the taste is strong, and it is delicious even if it is “grilled with butter” or “ajillo”! There were a number of people who sprinkled salt in the holes. It’s also great for sake!

If you want to take it, the “wall side” is a secret place?!
Perhaps because there are not many people digging under the fence and on the wall side in the foreground of the photo, I was able to get clams just by digging a little. There were very few other people who were picking at this place, so it may be a hidden spot. When collecting clams in Port Park, be sure to dig this place as well!
There were also a lot of yerba mate shells here that I introduced earlier~!
Even though it’s free, I got so much!
It’s a free tidewater hunting ground, so if you can get even a little, you’ll be lucky … I was digging in a children’s sandbox set, but I could get many times more crunchy than I had imagined!! If you can get this much, I wish I had a rake… It is a reflection.
The size is small, but I was very satisfied with the large amount!
