I was surprised by the variety of alcoholic beverages! “Nabeya”
The hot pot shop, which is famous for its Jinyu- and Fudo, has an event stage, so it was crowded as soon as the sake brewery festival started.
Limited sake, tasting tickets, arranged drinks, etc. are sold on the premises, and I had frozen Japan sake, which is a shake-like Japan sake divided by milk and condensed milk. I was surprised at how easy it was to drink!
The alcohol content was not too strong, and it had a mellow taste so that even those who are weak in alcohol could drink it.
I’m glad that children can enjoy it!
There were plenty of stalls such as toy scooping and games on the premises of the hot pot store, and my child was able to enjoy it without getting bored. In addition, amazake made from sake lees from a hot pot shop is non-alcoholic and is delicious for children, so it is recommended! The sake bun was not too sweet, and it was delicious with a faint aroma of sake.

Wearing a white coat, I was able to see the “process of making sake and fermentation”, which is not usually seen, and both adults and children enjoyed it from beginning to end.
You can sample sake rice and koji, and at the end, you can compare three types of sake, which is very satisfying and recommended!

During the sake brewery tour, we were given an original glass by answering a questionnaire. I’m surprised that you can even get a souvenir even though it’s free! I’m looking forward to having this glass and have a limited edition sake from Nabeya when I get home. I have a feeling that it will be a big success in home drinking in the future!

Since it was held for the first time in five years due to the influence of Corona, it was crowded with many people, and I felt that there were more stores for children than when I came before.
Japan style is to buy tamakonjac yakitori, cucumber sticks, eels, etc. lined up on the street and drink sake with them!

This Jinpei is a famous liquor store that handles hot pot and Teradaya sake in an old shop. On this day, the store was full of many customers. Rare old sake and miso are also available, so if you are not sure about souvenirs, please stop by!

The Asian atmosphere is fun! “Terada Honke”
Terada Honke, which has an impressive Asian atmosphere, had plenty of face paint and a playground for children. There was also a fermentation cooking workshop, which was a different kind of fun from the hot pot shop.
It seems that this Terada Honke also held a tour of the brewery for about 15 minutes, but I couldn’t find the reception or entrance and couldn’t visit it. Next year, I would like to visit Teradaya’s brewery.
You can drink alcohol for 100 yen!
The most popular item at Terada Honke was the 100-yen “Doburoku” with a soggy-tasting taste. The sweet and mellow taste made me want to have another cup. Tasting tickets were also sold at this Terada Honke.
Drinking a little bit at a time is a unique way to enjoy the sake brewery festival!
From 9 ~ 12 o’clock, you can also have sake at Kouzaki Shrine, which is right next to Teradaya, so please have it before it runs out!

There was also a store where you can make your own cotton candy for 100 yen. The children were delighted with the experience, which is not easy to do. I also have fond memories of sitting down along the Tone River, which is a short walk away, and eating cotton candy leisurely.

It’s a 15-minute walk from JR Shimoso Kouzaki Station, but it took about 20 minutes.
There is a free shuttle bus from Shimoso Kouzaki Station every 10~15 minutes, so it is recommended to use the bus to save your physical strength for a walk around the festival.
On the way back, there was a shuttle bus from a place just outside the venue.
