On the day of the sake brewery festival, I was immediately excited to be able to visit for free! It’s full of great deals, so be sure to check it out until the end!
I was surprised at the content that I didn’t think was free!
When I headed to the brewery, there were already a lot of people lined up, so I was sure to line up for 30 minutes …? I was prepared for that, but the line was very fast and I was able to get inside in about 10 minutes. There was always a long line, so you can see how popular it is.
Immediately after entering the brewery, I was able to sample three types of sake rice with different degrees of surface scraping. It was completely different from the rice I usually eat, and it had a dry texture that lingered in my mouth, but it had a slightly sweet taste.

Wear a white coat before entering the “fermentation room” in the back! I really wanted my child to wear a white coat that I don’t usually have the opportunity to wear, so I am delighted that my long-cherished wish has come true.

Climb the stairs and finally come to the “fermentation room”. In this room, I had a tasting of koji, but it was harder than the sake rice I mentioned earlier, and the taste was not very good. It’s strange because this makes a delicious sake.
It’s also fun to be able to sample things that you don’t usually have the opportunity to taste!

As we walked through the brewery, we were able to see how sake rice fermented into sake in a large well-like container. It seems that you can taste the Japan sake made in this way for the last time, so I can’t help but look forward to it!
In the brewery, the facility staff carefully explained each highlight, so the children listened with great interest.

If you want to visit the brewery outside of the sake brewery festival day, you need to apply from the application form on the Nabeya store website.
In order not to interfere with the brewery tour, please refrain from scented items such as perfumes and hairdressers, and “natto”, “yogurt”, and “kimchi” in the morning of the day of the tour.
